George M Esson

George was born in 1948 and educated at Robert Gordon’s College and Aberdeen University where he took (a relative rarity in those days) an Honours LL.B. course. He entered the profession in 1970 and has been a partner since 1974.

His particular areas of work are Property – he has been a tutor in conveyancing at Aberdeen University since 1971 – Wills, Trusts and Executries and Tax and Financial planning. He also practices in Commercial Law.

He is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Scottish 6-Day Orienteering Event Co. Ltd. and also sits on the Board of a company which owns and runs one of Aberdeen’s major nursing homes. Recently President of Society of Advocates.

Tom Davidson

Born in Stonehaven in 1955, Tom is a former pupil of Aberdeen Grammar School and a graduate of Aberdeen University. He joined the firm as a trainee in 1975, was admitted as a qualified Solicitor in 1977 and assumed as a partner in1979.

He is a Notary Public and since 1980 has been a Tutor in the School of Law at Aberdeen University tutoring evidence.

His areas of work include Property, particulary all aspects of residential buying, selling and leasing, Wills, Trusts and Executries, Powers of Attorney, Personal Injury Claims, Debt Collection and Commercial Law.

Carol A Cooper

Carol was born in 1957 and educated at Aberdeen Academy and Aberdeen University. She was admitted as a solicitor in1980 and assumed as a partner in1982.

Her particular areas of work are Property, Wills, Trusts and Executries, Powers of Attorney and Care of the Elderly, Tax and Financial Planning and Family Law.

Formerly a member of the Rent Assessment Panel for Scotland, where she acted as a Chairperson..

Phyllis Garden

Phyllis Garden

Phyllis was born locally and educated at Ellon Academy and St. Margarets School for Girls.   She went on to study at Edinburgh University obtaining an honours arts degree followed by a law degree and a post graduate diploma in legal practice.   After her traineeship in Edinburgh she qualified as a solicitor in 1991.

Phyllis specialises in conveyancing, executries, wills and general private client work.   She is a notary public and a member of the Society of Advocates.
