Born in Aberdeen in 1955 and educated at Ashley Road and Aberdeen Grammar Schools, Alan entered the financial services industry in 1984 and after working for national and local brokers, became an ‘in-house’ Independent Financial Advisor in November 1993 offering clients advice on mortgages, inheritance tax planning, pensions, investments, business and family protection.
